Michelle Hitchcock is a Board-Certified Physician Assistant with 23 years of experience
in orthopedic spine surgery and pain management. She obtained her bachelor’s degree
in Kinesiology with a concentration in Physical Education and Athletic Training at
California State University Long Beach in 1995. She graduated from Western
University of Health Sciences Physician Assistant program in 2001. She traveled as
head trainer for the softball and water polo teams, while at Long Beach State. She has
performed rehabilitation on all Division 1 athletes of Long Beach State. She worked as
an athletic trainer and provided physical therapy treatment for the U.S. National Men’s
and Women’s water polo team, U.S. Track and Field, U. S Badminton, and athletes of
various backgrounds including professional surfing, professional beach volleyball, and
professional football.

She has extensive experience managing both surgical and non-surgical spine disorders.
She has been a first assist in various cervical, thoracic, and lumbar surgeries as well as
total knee and hip surgeries. She takes pride in educating her patients to help them
understand their conditions and assist them in determining the best treatment options
for pain control and better quality of life.

In her spare time, she enjoys exercising, watching sports, and camping with her
husband and 2 boys.

Michelle is currently seeing patients at our Sun City and Sun City West locations.
