Laina Koryakos is a board certified physician assistant practicing here in the valley since graduating with her Master’s in Physician Assistant studies in 2022. Laina is passionate about patient care, and a team based model. She believes building trust with her patients is truly the ideal way to practice medicine. She thrives on building this connection with her patients to ensure their trust in her clinical judgement and treatment plan. Laina believes her family medicine background has helped her gauge pain management in a different aspect as pain truly is individualized to each patient. She believes that having thorough family medicine training helps her to see the patient as a whole picture, and realize that every patient’s pain is different.
She is originally from Chicago, and grew up in phoenix, making this her home. She completed her undergraduate at Arizona State University, with a bachelors in biology. She then moved to Nevada where she obtained a Master’s in Medical Health Sciences, then went on to complete her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies.
In her spare time, Laina enjoys spending time her husband and three beautiful daughters. They enjoy watching movies, eating good food, watching/playing sports and spending time with family and friends.
