Rachel Patel has over 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry. She obtained a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Maryville University in 2018. Prior to that, she obtained her bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Truman State University and later a bachelor of nursing from Mid-America Nazarene University.
Rachel spent the first five years of her nurse practitioner career working in orthopedics and assisting in the operating room. These experiences led to Rachel’s passion for bone health. Rachel believes a more preventative approach to bone health should be taken and strives to treat patients holistically, using a comprehensive assessment to tailor the treatment plan to the patient’s individual needs. She is active in the bone health community and has been repeatedly invited to present a symposium at the World Congress on Osteoporosis. In 2025, ,Rachel became a certified clinical densitometrist.
In her spare time, she enjoys exercise, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family and rescue pup.
